Dermal fillers are used to smooth individual lines and wrinkles, improving the skins texture as well as adding volume and creating definition, leading to a natural rejuvenated appearance.

How does it work?

Our fillers contains hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that exists within our skin, it’s function is to keep our skin healthy but as we age it’s ability to reproduce declines. Dermal Fillers are injected to provide structure and support to the skin, they contain a local anaesthetic and a topical numbing agent is also applied, to make the treatment more comfortable.

Dermal fillers are a very popular way of adding volume to the facial structure, improving the skins texture and creating a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance. Examples of areas that can be treated with dermal fillers include, cheek, chin, temple, jawline, smokers lines (peri oral area) nose-to-mouth lines (nasolabial folds) and lip-to jaw lines (marionette lines).

Complexion Perfection use a variety of fillers which are smooth and long lasting. Depending on the product and dose chosen, the effects can last up to 6-18 months.

Nasolabial Folds are commonly known as smile lines or laughter lines, “nasolabial folds” is the technical name for the lines that begin at the bottom of your nose and extend down toward the corners of your mouth.

And they’re called “folds” for good reason — they’re not really wrinkles as you might normally think of wrinkles. While everyone has a fold when they smile, some people are left with a noticeable skin overhang even when they aren’t smiling.

How does it work?

Nasolabial folds can be corrected through injections of dermal filler into the surrounding area, restoring the lost volume and softening the appearance of these creases. The goal of nasolabial fold injections is to even out the skin volume, leaving you with a smoother, refreshed-looking appearance. A quick and very effective treatment and depending on the product and dose chosen, the effects can last up to 6-18 months.

Does it hurt?

The fillers themselves contain Lidocaine which numbs the tissue as it’s injected. We also use a topical numbing cream before the treatment, to help make it as comfortable as possible.

Marionette lines are those little lines that begin at the corners of the mouth and extend down to the chin. This is a common problem often developing with age, genetics and environmental factors, and can sometimes make you look unhappy when you’re not.

How does it work?

As we age, collagen and elastin (two crucial skin components) begin to break down. Skin loses its fullness and its ability to bounce back into place, leading to wrinkles and creases like marionette lines. There are preventive steps you can take to slow their development or make them less profound. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are still some of the best and safest solutions. They are injected into the skin to plump, improve collagen production, and bring moisture to the area, literally “filling” in those lines and wrinkles. In some cases rejuvenating the cheeks can have a mild uplifting effect on the marionette area.
